چکیده

Abstract Purpose Wheat sheath blight mainly infected by Rhizoctonia cerealis is one of the soil-borne fungal diseases wheat worldwide and prevalent in major growing areas China at present. This study aimed to evaluate antifungal activity 163 endophytic fungi on R. . Antifungal strains were identified their biosynthetic potential was analysed. Methods The evaluated via dual-culture antagonism assay. basis morphological characteristics internal transcribed spacer gene sequencing. polyketide synthases (PKSs) nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) genes detected specific amplification chromosomal DNA. Result Twelve out strains, including seven with matrix competition five antibiosis, obtained. twelve belonged four genera: Alternaria, Ascochyta, Botryosphaeria, Talaromyces. inhibition rate greater than 50%, that Botryosphaeria dothidea S2-33 being highest 84.6%. zone Talaromyces assiutensis R-03 amongst antibiosis widest up 7 mm. Among strain S2-16 contained all tested, B. PKS-II NRPS genes, two Alternaria alternata only remaining did not contain any. Conclusion Results demonstrated for biocontrol blight. In particular, T. determined as a promising agent. active substances secreted may be produced other pathways.

Antifungal activity of Aloe vera pulp against plant pathogenic fungi

The leaf pulp of Aloe vera Tourn. ex Linn., designated as the gel, and the bitter, yellow liquid fraction have been tested against pathogens (bacteria and fungi) affecting human and plants. However, their activity for fungal control in commercial industrial crops has not been determined. Thus, researchers at Mexico carried out studies to evaluate the inhibitory effect of Aloe pulp and liquid fr...
